In February and March we made progress with our work; changing the narrative. The beauty of this project is becoming clear. Its impact on our wellbeing and that of those around us is noticeable. We are starting to get organic engagement. Steadily, we are becoming part of a community of the likeminded; joining and linking with people whose aspirations for enacting positive change are as urgent as ours… a community of those who are changing the narrative.
In February and March we’ve made steady progress with our work; changing the narrative.
In all honesty it’s been a busy couple months, billable work has required our attention. But this project has moved forward, and the conversations we are having have helped us to evolve our thinking and shape our approach. We are actively pushing ourselves to promote the work we are doing, and therefore the important work of those we are in contact with.
I took the opportunity to present our project to some 200 up and coming architects during RIBA Future Leaders.

Adam Scott of FreeState sent out a message to those signed up to Future Leaders, with a request for anyone who would like to present a project they are passionate about. The presentation would be limited to 3min, and could be about anything. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to push myself out of my comfort zone, and to learn from an expert. Adam was supportive and insightful, inspirational and instrumental in helping me to develop my presentation skills. I was pleased that my presentation was well received with many on the conference offering supportive feedback of both the content and my presentation, and others taking the opportunity to get in touch to see how they could be involved. My thanks go to Adam for his input. Adam is a tough act to follow. I am pleased that he too felt my presentation went well.
Blueprint for All’s Maia and Evi have been in touch with us, they have now pitched the idea of David featuring in one of Maia’s upcoming new series of Q&A with beneficiaries, David is enthused at the prospect and looking forward to discussing this further with Maia.

Neil Pinder is an ever-present force for good, and we are consistently discussing his work with him too, looking at ways that we can support and assist.
Neil has several upcoming projects that we will be looking to help him with, including Thornton Education Trust (TET) ‘Inspiring Future Generations Programme’ who’s aim is to “recognise, celebrate and encourage built environment professionals and eductionalists to deliver architecture and urban design to young people and children within their own everyday practice or teaching, and engender a life long commitment in the built environment sector to deliver these types of initiatives as part of its social responsibility.
The ultimate goal is to build a future generation of practitioners and organisations and implement new policies to ensure this step change.”

Whilst production of our video series stalled in late February, we are pleased to report this is now back on track. We have our first edit back from our incredibly able, supportive, and enthusiastic Director of Cinematography Marc Joynes, Senior Manager of YouTube Space London, and we hope that we will be wrapping this first shoot for release soon. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.
The beauty of this project is becoming clear. It is in its human connections, supporting each other and celebrating our collective passion.
This is the healthiest environment anyone could be a part of, and we can’t impress on you how much we are benefitting from doing this work, meeting with and discussing progress, strategizing, organising and, fundamentally – acting!
The more we talk to people about what we are doing – and importantly help them with the work they are doing in the process – the more this project becomes infectious. Its impact on our wellbeing and that of those around us is noticeable. We encourage you to get involved as others are…
